The project required the systematic inventory, extraction, and distribution of all facility contents to various Air Force Bases, innovation hubs, and private offices across the United States, with a scope ranging from standard office furniture to highly specialized aerospace assets.  

For government agencies, decommissioning a major hub involves significant logistical risk and strict accountability thresholds. Federal leadership facing a facility closure requires GSA relocation services capable of managing high-value assets and maintaining accountability for every item through the final handoff. This case study illustrates how our team provided the technical logistical command necessary to clear the facility on an aggressive timeline while maintaining absolute data and asset integrity.

Technical Logistical Command

We delivered full life-cycle oversight as the Prime Contractor, providing the specialized GSA relocation services required to manage a firm-fixed-price federal contract. Our process began with a rigorous inventory of the 30,000-square-foot facility, matching every asset against a complex distribution matrix. Because these assets were destined for multiple locations nationwide, we established a clear chain of communication with the Air Force chain of command to verify the destination and the specific personnel responsible for every SKU before the first item was packed. 

Our approach turned an ambiguous decommissioning task into a phased, logical execution plan. We divided the project into operational segments based on destination priority and labor availability, ensuring the building was cleared systematically. In a technical environment like AFWERX, specificity is the only way to meet requirements. We provided the detailed guidance and oversight needed to satisfy federal reporting protocols, which prevented delays and ensured that all unclaimed items were correctly routed to DRMO in accordance with federal law. 

The Result: Precision Extraction and Distribution  

The complexity of this move was defined by several high-value, unique items that exceeded the capabilities of standard movers. Most notably, our team managed the extraction of an airplane wing that required crane operations to safely remove it from the building. We also oversaw the precision removal of a custom-built airplane wing wall, ensuring it was protected for reinstallation at its next destination. 

Beyond these technical lifts, we managed the packaging and secure transport of all office furniture and technology to a diverse network of recipients, including active Air Force Bases and private sector partners. We met our mission to fully empty the Las Vegas Hub by routing every asset to its appropriate location without a single loss of visibility. This project highlights our mastery of GSA relocation services for high-stakes federal environments, where technical fluency and meticulous oversight are the baseline requirements for a smooth transition.
