Industrial Relocation Project Abstract
With increasing demand in the Colorado marketplace due to new and old construction projects, National Fire & Safety had to upgrade to a larger facility to reduce congestion and streamline operations. The project required expert industrial relocation services to handle the complexities of the move. The origin side contained two separate office areas—an inventory warehouse with heavy-duty racks, a manufacturing area with large equipment, and exterior storage for shipping and receiving. Ensuring that National Fire & Safety was relocated between Christmas and New Years was the ultimate priority–coordinating movers, riggers, and logistics required precise relocation project management.

Project Summary
Pivotal Project Management provided Overall Industrial Relocation Project Management services to National Fire & Safety. Working closely with key individuals, we created a detailed racking plan for the destination side while simultaneously documenting existing inventory. Most of the inventory sat on loose shelves, so packing/palletizing services were needed, and proper labeling on the boxes was of paramount importance. A detailed move plan was instrumental in moving all employees, equipment, piping, and machinery in the allotted period such that orders were not delayed or missed. All vendors needed on-site to perform MEP disconnect/reconnect, packing services, forklift operations, moving, logistics, and rigging were coordinated and sequenced down to the hour–Executing the total relocation so that the client resumed operations on the first business day of 2018.
